Which Academic Credentials Do You Need Translated?
Transcripts, qualification parchments, degree certificates, diploma supplements and the Final Medical Diploma each carry their own acceptance rule. Registration evidence includes certificates of current professional status, registration or licensing certificates, and internship and experience certificates.

The Rules We Check For You
NMBI requires a translation by a qualified translator, signed and stamped. It carries a written English confirmation that it is an exact translation, plus the translator's contact details. The Medical Council requires the Final Medical Diploma. A transcript, graduation certificate or licence is not accepted as a substitute.
DFA legalisation applies to translations by a translator the DFA recognises or a CRO-registered translation company. The document is notarised and bound, with certification on the English version. The DFA refuses translations of foreign educational qualifications, even when translated in Ireland. Latin-degree originals are an explicit exception.
QQI NARIC Ireland and UK ENIC issue comparability statements, not decisions. A statement maps your qualification to the NFQ (levels 7 to 10) or a UK framework. The employer, competent authority or admissions team decides acceptance. We do not map your qualification ourselves. For a small fee, we obtain the NARIC/NFQ Comparability Statement for you and send it to you.
